I saw this post yesterday and just love everything about it. It goes with everything i believe. This journey is forever and it has to be sustainable. Its forever. I am also a massive believer that you cannot out train a bad diet. A bit of chocolate on Easter Bunny day is not going to set back your goals unless you go on a long weekend hot cross buns and easter egg binge. Also i doubt if you would put on 2 or 3 kg for having a couple of eggs or hot cross buns if you are training the right way and you have built a healthy metabolism. I believe that we need to enjoy special days as long as we keep them in to days and not extend them into weeks and months. (The time of year has come where Facebook is flooded with posts about how much sugar chocolate has, how many calories your favourite Easter egg has, and how long it's going to take to burn it off. Of course, it's a great idea for our health not to consume too much added sugars in our die

Dont Give In To Temptation

Temptation an evil word or a word we can learn from? I have noticed around the forums the word givings in to temptation a few times so thought i giveyou my spin on it.\ If you eat that choc bicky or cake at work floating around dont beat yourself up we have all done this. Just make sure it does not have a rollar coaster effect. Pull it up here learn from it and move on. There are a lot of possible triggers and this is where you have to dig deep very deep and find out what triggers you to do this. Why you are tempted in these situation. This journey is all about stripping back the layers and finding the real you. After a lot of sole searching at the start of my journey i found out that i gave into temptation for two reasons. bored and that i did not believe in the most important person to me and that is myself. But their are lots of reasons . Like stress, frustrations, boredom, no self belief,or just a short term loss of your goals. Also a bit of values play a part in this. Ask y

Round 4 2013 Wrap Up Qland You Rock

Well on Friday we were all pumped for our weekend in Brisbane and what a weekend it was.  Queensland crew you ROCK. You guys and girls showed of your city and all its awesomeness.  I loved every minute of my weekend in Brissy. From the minute I arrived and one of your lovely member Tracey English picked three of us up at the airport and drove us straight to our hotel door. To the Margie workout which was so much fun. I think i found a new friend with Margie just sayin lol. Your entrance into the finale was just sensational.  So much hard work was put into organising all those little bits. So well done Queensland Crew. I loved Mishes workout on Saturday. The vibe in the room was awesome. A little brag now the best part for me was my personal best. Winning the planking mini challenge 11 min and 05 sec. (who does that) I actually learn from the mini challenge a really good lesson and this is that your   mind is so much stronger than you think. I had a time in my head to beat last year

A pictures says 1000 words

As part of my prize in round one was to have profess photos taken at star shots. OMG my family and i had an amazing day and i just LOVE them and the new me. But the pictures below are beautiful they mean more to me than just a photo.  Before my 12wbt journey began i was always the one behind the camera. The thought of me having my photo taken made me feel physically ill. Its sad really because i dont have many photos of me and my kids together growing up. So in a way i was being selfish because of my own self distruction and fears.  Out of all my 12wbt round one prizes this prize was by far my favourite. For the first time in my life i got a photo that i dont just like but i absolutely love them. To think i was going to let this voucher expire. I think it expired on the 19th of December and i had them taken on the 16th. I can thank that to another 12wbter splasharama. I did water duty with Mary at the last finale workout and she asked me if i had them done. We started chatting and

Theres always room for improvement

I have learnt alot from 12wbt but the biggest lesson i have learnt is that i have realised that i dont have to be a perfect weight watcher to achieve my goals i just have to be persistant and persevere and keep them in sight. Also once one goal is achieved always have another one. Something to work towards and keep you on track. My goals that i have achieved so far with 12wbt have been to loose half my body weight, wear a size 12 dress to finale on stage, learn how to swim, toe push ups, complete tought mudder and to conquer the monekey bars. At the start i thought my goals would never happen. I had to practice my new behaviours until they became auto pilot. I say to myself when i slip up its not because i have no control it because i need to practice dealing with that particular situation that made me run of track. Through my whole journey i have kept my goals very close to my heart and in focus. Your Goals are you key tool in this whole journey. They are what keep you motivated

I can now hold the Ski Rope Yeah Me

Haven't blogged for ages so thought time to put fingers to the key board and have a ramble. I just came back from the most amazing holidays with my family every. We have aways owned a boat and spent every holidays with the kiddies on the murray water skiing.  Everybody in our family have a ball but i was always too scared to try it. I tried once a few years ago and could not physically hold my own weight and keep hold of the rope. I can remember back then there were tears.. So from that day on watching from the side line like most things in my life was my entertainment. Over christmas this year on our annual family skiing trip i decided to give it a crack. Surely by now i should be able to hold that friggin rope. Woo Hoo i did it and had so much fun.  Besides consuming litres of murray water through my mouth and nose i actually did it,  It felt fabulous out on the water you could not wipe the smile of my face. There is absolutely no doubt that the kids will have to figh
